The Los Chanares “concept” began taking shape more than 20 years ago, when an Argentina dove hunting aficionado grew tired of the long drives needed to reach the birds. The property was initially purchased as a personal Cordoba dove hunting home base. In 2001, Los Chanares was opened as a dove hunting paradise with commercial clients. The response from the international hunting community was electric…especially when compared directly to other Cordoba dove hunting lodges. Los Chanares was created as the unparalleled Argentina dove hunting environment that allows for ultra high-volume shooting walking distance from his luxury lodge.
In 2005, Los Chanares was sold to David Perez and Alex Mitri. David Perez was working at a farmland investment fund in Argentina and Alex was running the dove hunting operations for Erland Von Sneidern in Paraguay and Bolivia. Alex was looking to move to Argentina as he was marrying Jessica Ciappa. Together David, Alex and Jessica have expanded the lodge, refined the service, added several new hunting fields and improved the field management team. Today, the lodge, the service and the shooting are all better than ever. Highlighting the long list of accolades and honors Los Chanares has received is the 2010-11 endorsement from the Beretta Trident Program.
